Mirror Building Opening Reception

Celina Odeh’s Mirror Building is an interactive multi-media photography exhibition on the observance of ritual manifestation as it relates to sight. By using mirrors as a matteand framing device for portraits of body builders in moments of rest, Celina invites viewership and highlights the emotion of comparisons silhouette: “Judgment”.

Body builders here are used to represent the discipline, proving a physique this extreme can only be actualized through ritual and work. Nothing else can render these results.

Drawing from the competition element of body building, Celina aims to recreate the same spectacle of self by positioning the viewer next to the image through the reflection of the mirror, encouraging pervasive self communication.
